An undergraduate student in the Department of Physics, SUSTech.

My research interests center on:

  • Theoretical and Computational Condensed Matter Physics
  • Symmetry theory
  • Scientific computing.

Research#

I am particularly fascinated by problems in which abstract mathematical structures lead to concrete constraints on systems. In Condensed Matter Physics, I am especially interested in symmetry-based approaches to electronic structure and magnetism, including

  • Spin Group theory
  • Unconventional Magnetism
  • Spintronics.

One of my current projects, SSG4Wann, a Python package for constructing symmetrized Wannier Hamiltonians using Oriented Spin Space Groups, has already been released on GitHub and PyPI.

Tools & Computing#

Most of my current work is done with Python and the electronic-structure ecosystem around VASP and Wannier90. I work with numerical linear algebra, group representations and symmetry operations.

Beyond Physics#

I spend a probably unreasonable amount of time on other interests.

Recently, K-pop has been a major source of entertainment for me. My bias is NMIXX Haewon. My favorite groups include

Besides K-pop, my faves also include Cheer Chen 陳綺貞 and Olivia Rodrigo 娅娅.

I also play games - mostly Wuthering Waves, VALORANT and Infinity Nikki.
